MEN'S SOCCER CROWNED CHAMPS FOR THE 3RD TIME

The Centennial COLTS Men's Soccer team continued their run of domination winning yet another tournament this past week-end. They say winning is contagious and it truly must be so for our soccer guys. The team traveled to Kingston this past week end to take part in the Royal Military College Indoor 11-a-side Soccer Invitational. The COLTS have been attendants of the tournament for the past four years however, are yet to emerge victorious as tournament champions that is until yesterday. 

The COLTS defeated Queens University of the OUA to take the Cup. 

The day opened on the right note for the COLTS defeating Kingston Portuguese by a score of 4-0 Centennial's Ikenna Nkwocha, Jamal Fingal, and Zaahid Khedoo (2), were all able to slip the ball into the opponents goal.  Next up the COLTS faced the hosts RMC and again were victorious. This time winning the match 1 - 0 on a goal by Kashope (Jacob) Onala. The next match was a tough one and one of joy for the team as the COLTS faced off against CISM the (Canadian International Military Team) who have two former COLTS Alumni in Ashton Vaz and Daniel Schultise. The battle raged on and the COLTS took a loss in this close fought match. For the last match of the round robin it was win at all costs as the COLTS were pitted against Ottawa University. This one ended in the COLTS favour after they defeated the University team by a score of 2 - 0. Goal scorers for the COLTS were Shaquille Agard, Dalvinder Johal. 

Centennial was then given a birth into the finals finishing first in their pool of the round robin. Now would come a true test of their football prowess. The COLTS were matched up against the Gaels from Queens. 

The game was a intense matchup as either side was determined o find the net and so they did. At the final whistle however it was Centennial that emerged as the tournament champion downing Queens by a score of 4-2. Centennials goals were scored by Ikenna Nkwocha (2), Tyler Dill, and EJ Powell. 

The COLTS Men's Soccer team has returned to their form and are looking for gold this up coming week end at Redeemer on March 20th and 21st, 2015 at the OCAA 2015 Men's Indoor Soccer Championship. 

The COLTS have been paired up against rivals Seneca Sting Sheridan Bruins and the Fleming Knights. This upcoming contest will not be easy however the team is ready after notching three different invitational championships under their belt over the past month.
