SCARBOROUGH, ON — Centennial College Athletics and Recreation has announced the promotion of Scott Brannigan to Head Coach of the Colts Men's Volleyball program.
Brannigan joined the Colts as an Assistant Coach in 2024 and was elevated to Interim Head Coach midway through the 2025–26 season. He now assumes the role full-time as the program looks to re-establish itself as a contender within the OCAA.
A former OCAA student-athlete standout, Brannigan played Left Side for the Fanshawe Falcons from 2013–15, winning a bronze medal during the 2013-2014 season. Having competed with one of the province's top programs, he brings firsthand experience of what it takes to build and sustain success at a high level.
Brannigan Ready to Lead
"I'm extremely excited and grateful for this opportunity," said Brannigan. "I'm committed to building a program that competes at a high-level year in and year out. We've faced challenges, but I'm focused on recruiting and developing a group that can put Centennial in contention for championships. We'll do whatever it takes to become one of the top programs in the province."
Building Stability and Momentum
Brannigan's promotion reflects a natural progression after serving as a key member of the coaching staff for the past 2 seasons, stepping up to be the Interim Head Coach last season. Known for his ability to connect with student-athletes and foster a positive team culture, he has already made a strong impact within the program. With Brannigan at the helm, the program is prioritizing stability, culture, and recruitment, already adding key pieces to strengthen the roster moving forward.
